PUSH IT describes exactly what this class will do. It is appropriate for those who do not need a walker or cane to get around. It is also recommended that you do not have a recent history of falls and that you can efficiently get down to the floor. We will push you to work in all planes of movement. This dynamic class has a moderate to a high level of challenge.

"Get moving" is what I want People with Parkinson's (PWP) to start doing no matter where they are in their journey. If you use an assistive device, have Freezing of Gait, experience falls or unsteadiness, this class is for you. This is a slower-paced class appropriate for all people with Parkinson's Disease. This class is designed to challenge you with an emphasis on flexibility, movement precision and amplitude, coordination, balance, and cognition.  We do not do floor exercise in this class.

What to Expect

Our classes vary each day without a set regimen. For example, we don't do: the first ten minutes will consist of stretching while the next 15 may be focused on strength. It varies each day.

No Need for
A lot of

Room or equipment!

We only use four pieces of equipment (you don't have to purchase until you join)

  1. Tennis Balls

  2. Resistance Band

  3. Balance Pad

  4. Colored Cones

Group class size is intentionally kept small so that Dr. Leslie can see everyone and help cue everyone on technique/fluidity of movement to help them improve.
